The Environ software is designed for the creation and viewing of 3D digital terrain models. These 3D terrains are geographically and architecturally accurate, and can contain features of both the natural and built environment. The individual Environ programmes can be packaged together to meet a variety different client requirements.
In contrast to more traditional offerings in the 3D modelling sphere, the Environ software offers a quick and low cost means of accurately modelling large scale urban and rural areas from existing data. Environ terrains can be built using a wide variety of standard and non-standard data sources of geographical, architectural, survey and construction data. Our comprehensive support can be tailored to meet the needs of professional, technical and non-technical users.
Environ terrains can be developed as and when required for individual projects and support state of the art 3D model building to very high levels of detail. After the generic terrain is created using existing geographical data users can then customise their terrain with greater detail and increased realism.
Environ terrains are geometrically and geographically accurate and are auditable to legal standards. Environ terrains can be analysed to produce accurate quantitative calculations for planning purposes. Virtual Outlooks have developed a unique method of quantitative visual impact calculation which provides a useful aid to the planning decision making process. We have applied a similar technique to complex light occlusion assessments.
Environ Planner - Our basic package for the quick and easy creation of accurate 3D terrains. Contains Environ Builder, Environ Communicator and Environ Viewer.
Environ Builder - Environ Builder allows terrain data to be imported, edited and exported from a wide variety of sources to a number of different file types. Only available as part of Environ Planner.
Environ Communicator - Environ Communicator is a state of the art visualisation and terrain manipulation tool. Communicator renders terrain data stored in the Environ database creating a run-time only 3D environment which can then be customised by the user while viewing. Full version available as part of Environ Planner. Lite version available individually.
Environ Viewer - Environ Viewer allows users to view and distribute their 3D terrains to anyone without the need to for the viewers to purchase any additional software or alter file format.
